Goodbye, Christy
Yesterday, I said goodbye to my dear friend Christy. She and her family are off to start a whole new chapter in their lives, way over in Indiana. I’ve written about Christy here many times, but I outlined her awesomeness most succinctly in this post last summer. She’s been such an amazing support to me over the past two years, and it’s breaking my heart a little, knowing that she won’t be 4 minutes away anymore. At the same time, I’m excited for them! Life is going to be great.
It really hit me yesterday that they’re LEEEAVING when I went over to say goodbye, and saw this message on her driveway, written in chalk by her next door neighbor and good friend Erin. I can’t imagine how hard it is for her to say goodbye to Christy, after moving into their homes together, being pregnant together, and raising boys just days apart in age, who are the best of friends.
Wahhh! I cried all the way home. Change can be so hard!
