Last week, Pablo’s aide at school took me aside and told me she had something important to tell me! She said for the first time ever, Pablo told her something and specifically asked her to tell me about it. He has a classmate and friend who got a cute haircut, and told his aide, “Pablo gets a haircut like Jackson’s. TELL MOM.” Hee!

So, off we went to the hair salon, so Pablo could get his Jackson-inspired haircut. I think it came out darling!

Love that kid. Oh, and I have to give him props for letting the stylist touch his neck with the clippers for half a second without freaking the hell out. She told him it would tickle. Pablo LOOOOVES tickling. So, when it buzzed his neck, he allowed it for a moment, and then loudly stated, “THAT NOT WHAT TICKLING IS! Turn it OFF, please!”

Some of you know that Kayley’s been battling alopecia, and has been having a super rough time of things. A friend of mine from high school, Tony, works at an upscale salon in downtown Denver and agreed to work a little hair magic with Kayley to try to make things right. And he did such an outstanding job! I’m going to give him an amazing review on Yelp, too, but for now, here’s a plug. It’s been 100% Kayley Perma-grin around here since last night. I’m sure today at school, all her little friends are oohing and ahhing over her awesomely purple hair. And, bonus, I’ve just been named Coolest Mom Ever. Yay! Seeing Kayley with a smile on her face again is the best part.
