Some random funnies from the past couple of days. Paul’s brother got an adorable, tiny chihuahua named Fifty Cent. Mallory is IN LOVE with this dog. She cuddled this sweet puppy the whole time we were there, and the grin on her face was so wide, I could see her smiling from behind! Several times, she asked Uncle Jon if she could take him home with her and he said, “Suuuure, you can!” Later on, she was so upset with me for not “letting” her bring the dog home with us. She said, “Uncle Jon said over and over and over again that I could have it to keep, and he didn’t even have his lying voice on!” Poor monkey. We might have to get a doggie of our own one of these days!

Then the other night, I asked the kids to “clean up” the kitchen for me. This just means, taking their own paper plates to the trash and putting spoons in the dishwasher. It took them an awfully long time to get it done, and when they all came to find me and said, “It’s all clean! We cleaned EVERYTHING!” I didn’t expect to find the fruit bowl stashed behind the couch. “It just made the table look cluttered,” Lexi explained.

My favorite random funny, though, came from the last day of Kindergarten, during the class party. All the kindies went around the room, taking turns standing up and announcing to all the parents what they wanted to be when they grew up. Lots of boys wanted to be cops, fire fighters, and I think one little boy (sweet Rhett, who Lexi has a crush on) wanted to be a UFC fighter. One by one, the girls in the room shared their dreams of being princesses, ballerinas, and pop stars. Until we got to my little Nikki. Here’s what she wants to be when she grows up – a ninja! I would expect nothing less from that girl – actually, I’m surprised she didn’t say she wanted to be a Jedi.

Summer vacation has just begun for us and I’m so excited to make a few fun memories with these crazy little monkeys of mine!
I know it’s evil of me, but I take great pleasure in making my children scream and holler whenever we have to get our vehicle washed. As soon as that foamy, rainbow-colored soap envelops all the windows, they freak the hell out. It’s awesome. I snapped a picture last time, just so I could share it with the world. Hee!

One of the things that’s great about having a teenager is that I always seem to learn new words. Words like…McGANGBANG!
Do you know what a McGangBang is? You can check Urban Dictionary for the official definition, but I’ll fill you in. It’s a McChicken sandwich placed between the two patties of a McDouble. Like so:

I really have no interest whatsoever in EATING a McGangBang, but I do want to order one! I wonder if they’ll know what it is at our Mickey D’s? I’m sure it’s likelier that they know in our old ‘hood.
Yesterday, the girls and I stopped at Sonic for something to drink. They have the GREATEST drink selection at Sonic, you know, and all drinks are half price from 2 to 4 every day. My kids usually choose Ocean Water, Root Beer, or Hi-C. I usually get a ginormous Diet Dr. Pepper. (Sometimes, with added sugarfree cherry flavor.)
I started to place our order and when I asked Lexi what she wanted to drink, she responded, “Pork chop.” Hehe! I asked her again, and she repeated, “Pork chop, please.” I don’t know how she arrived at pork chop, but she ended up with fruit punch.
