I am not sure I would have thought to nominate a former teacher of my kids (of course, my oldest is a kindie, so I don't have a lot of experience on that one). I have found the one gift that seems to keep on giving is showing gratitude. Makes you feel great, makes the recipient feel great. It's all good. You rock.
