I wanted to just make a quick notation of this, so I can refer to it later. I started giving Pablo fish oil about a week and a half ago, every day, stirred into his orange juice. So far, he doesn’t seem to notice oily bubbles floating on the surface of his juice! And I’ve noticed a marked improvement in his coping skills, especially in the area of self harming. I don’t know if I can entirely credit the fish oil with this change, but it seems noteworthy.
Since then, I’ve noticed that you can buy fish oil gummy vitamins everywhere! I just saw them at Target the other day. I’m considering giving them to ALL the kids. Who’s tried these? Are they any good?

I can’t vouch for the gummies, but my aunt gives her kids a fish oil liquid supplement, but it’s really good!
This isn’t the exact brand, but it’s very similar. It really does taste good!

Just gave all the kids this morning. I don’t always remember. I used to buy the tablets. That was much easier to give at breakfast but run out of the ones I trusted.( they were brought with me from overseas)
I now use The Total EFA- vegetarian formula with Omega 3,6 and 9. I dropped it into all the cereals today. Yep mine didn’t notice either. I add it too salad dressing, also when I remember.
I don’t know if you were looking for like children or all experiences.

We’ve been giving our son fish oil for a few years now. We used to give him some berry flavored oil just for kids and called it his berry syrup – he’d take his teaspoonful every morning almost excitedly! Now that he can swallow pills, we give him these gel tabs that my husband found that has omega 3’s & 6’s.
I’ve read a lot about the benefits and highly recommend it for all kids!

I’ve given them (the gummi variety) to my kids on and off through the years. I’m just not very good at remembering to do it every day. But, the kids seem to really like them! They’ll even ask for them. So, we give it a thumbs up for taste apparently (though I’ll admit I have NOT tried these myself). Oh, my kids are just turned 4 and just turned 6, if that helps. Glad it seems to be helping!!

Can someone please reply to me and tell me if the fish oil has caused diarhhea in anybody? I used Dr. Sears kid’s fish oil and it immediately causes diarhhea that same day. My son’s stools are normal otherwise, so I quit giving it to him. Does anyone have a brand that goes down smooth?

Mary, I use Nordic Naturals 3-6-9. I stir it into his orange juice every day, and we haven’t had any issues with it at all.
