While Kayley was still on spring break, we took a little trip over to Chik-fil-A. The weather was snowy and cold, and I figured nobody but me would be dumb enough to go to Chik-fil-A for dinner in the frigid weather and we’d have the whole play area to ourselves. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Another area elementary school was having a PTA fundraiser night, and the place was absolutely packed. We were lucky enough to snag the very last booth in the restaurant. Kids were running around screaming, it was mass chaos, and THE GIANT COW WAS THERE!
Pablo disappeared into the play area, and surprisingly enough, he was not at all bothered by the chaos and screaming! I was shocked. He really had a grand time! And he completely missed out on the terror that was the giant cow. I’ve never seen this thing face to face. It’s GINORMOUS. And even though my rational mind told me that it wasn’t a real cow standing on its hind legs wearing a red Chik-fil-A shirt, the reality of seeing this realistic thing towering above me was more than a little unnerving. And my children were terrified. The manager of the restaurant was running around with her camera taking pictures, and she brought me this very nice photo, printed out and inserted in a nice little glossy card. Fun, huh?
I had to scan it to show you how freaked out my children were! Click on the picture to see it on Flickr – it’s worth seeing full size. Nothing more fun than frightened children, y’know?
