I love my house! But…

Holy crap, I’m missing the gigantic bedroom my kids shared at the old house. I’ve been trying and trying to come up with a good configuration for their bedroom, and somehow fit four itty bitty beds and three dressers into a standard small-ish bedroom. It’s driving me up the wall! My kids are about ready to track off from school for three weeks, and I think I should make it my goal during those three weeks to get a handle on this bedroom/playroom/toy/clothing situation. They have too many toys they don’t play with, too many clothes they don’t wear, and I can’t figure out where to put any of it. It’s fucking annoying. Wish me luck. (Anyone want me to do a product review of their awesome bunkbeds??? I’m all ears!)

Seriously, one of the most annoying things is to get the kids’ rooms right. You will. They don’t care that much…or do they and we just tell ourselves that to make ourselves feel better?

    Good luck.

Hey Laura do you guys want any of the closet shelve thingys from the townhome? LOL I’m drawing a blank and cannot think of the right word. They’re like the ones in the big room here so the hangers can slide all the way across. Let me know or have Pablo tell us cuz we’re takin them all and I know Jesse wants some but we’ll have quite a few left over.

We have a big room and a small room for the kids. And I move them both around a couple of times a year just to really deep clean. Good luck finding the way that works for you.

And I’d love to hear all about the bunks!

Unfortunately, there aren’t any walls to knock down – the rooms are of similar size, with a Jack-n-Jill bath between them. We actually entertained the idea of knocking out the closet between their room and Kayley’s room, and making a big room that way – but then there would be no closet! And Kayley would be very bummed about giving up her big bathroom (even though she’d then have the Jack-n-Jill bath.

My wife and I do the same thing. We shuffle everyone around to clean their rooms because they have got to be the dirtiest places in the whole house!
