For some reason, my children LOVE KISS. I remember adoring them when I was their age, too - I don't know why the lyrics, makeup, and stage show appeal so much to tiny little children, but they sure have stood the test of time. We're even tossing around the idea of dressing them up (2 sets of twins who will be 6 and 4) like KISS for Halloween. The only thing standing in our way is that we have two who want to be Peter Criss (because he looks like a cat!) and two who want to be Paul Stanley. No love for Ace Frehley or Gene Simmons

Hehe, you would be surprised how few kids I know listen to kiss. Its something between Shinedown and Amon Amarth generally.

LOL - I'm familiar with the song - it'd be weird if I'd never heard it before, but typed out the exact lyric, huh? I was actually just trying to make a comparison. It's easy to keep rhythm when you have a kid squawking in perfect rhythm every few seconds - he IS my metronome. The kids mostly listen to KISS. Ha!

You know that there is a song by Flobots called Handlebars that has lyrics of 'I can keep rhythm with no metronome. No metronome. No metronome. It is a rather deep song and not one I would really recommend for a kid in case they figure out what it means.

I know that has got to be so trying....but, that aside, I must confess that it makes for some great reading! The way you string your thoughts together in a written form amazes me - and you just get better and better! Your comedic talents are impressive.

Even so, I hope this phase is over with soon. That doesn't sound like fun.

Are these ticks really under his control? You might ask the doctor if these are controllable behaviors or if he's showing unconscious ticks and twitches. It makes a big difference in how you treat it.
