“MOM! Mom? Mom, I need you!”
“What is it, sweetie?”
::tsk:: “Not YOU, Mom! We’re PLAYING.”
…………
“Moooom! Mommy! Mom! Stop ignoring me! I need some help!”
“What’s the problem?”
“Mommy!! NOT. YOU. We’re PLAYING!!”
:::bangs head against wall:::

OMG, yes! And you’re trying SO hard to just ignore their calls…but, that mommy urge overpowers you and the overwhelming guilt….and you know you need to run to them - and then….WHAMMO! ‘Get outta here, Mommy!’
Monsters - dirty, rotten little monsters!

That’s nicer than the “No! I’m not talking to you!” I get when they’re playing games like that.

Oh good lord, I HATE those games because it happens to me all the time too. Breanna is almost always the baby, so now if she’s pretending Hayley is her mother, she’ll call her Mommy. Then when I inevitably answer she says, “No Sherry, not you!”

OMG Mine do this too - err well the littlest one still does this - and it makes me bananas. Im getting better at telling though when they mean “me- Mom” as opposed to “play-Mom” by the sound of their “MOMMMM” lol
