Three years ago, I gave birth to my second set of twins, just 17 months after the birth of my first set of twins. I’m sure you can imagine the logistics involved in getting four babies anywhere - lugging around two infant carseats is hard enough without trying to manage two barely mobile toddlers. I found a stroller online that seemed to be designed specifically for me - a fairly compact quad stroller that seats four small children. But with its $500 price tag, it was completely out of reach for us. I quickly realized that there was little chance of me ever leaving the house again.
Enter the kindness of friends and strangers all across the blogosphere. Friends of mine set up The Badass Quad Stroller Fund and donations poured in, big and small. We got donations from so many kind people - many of whom I didn’t even know - that in just a couple of weeks’ time we were able to purchase what turned out to be my lifeline. We have logged so many miles on that quad stroller, I wouldn’t be surprised if the wheels fell right off of it. And even now that the kids are older and far too heavy for me to push around, we still used that stroller on vacation - my husband and father-in-law pushed it all over Disneyland!
I’ll always be grateful to the people who made that purchase possible for us, and it was an honor to be the recipient of such an outpouring of love and generosity of my friends and neighbors across the ‘net. I’ve been so blessed by the kindness of others that I am absolutely thrilled by the opportunity to give something back to the blogging community. So here’s the big announcement: Chicco is sponsoring a giveaway here on my site, and one lucky reader is going to win a Chicco Trevi Twin Double Stroller!
