I had forgotten about the Kindergarten Zombie syndrome. Shan was in all-day Kindergarten, too...and she'd come home just completely wiped out. Each night of the week, her bedtime got earlier by 30 minutes. Finally after about a month, her system got used to the long days, and she did fine! Hang in there, mama! Your girls are adorable!! As for it being all day.........i remember when my kids had half day and i hated having to arrange my whole day around that one time period smack dab i the middle of the day to go pick them up. It was too long to buy groceries and wait in town for them to be out and too short to do alot of anything else. All day for me would have been GREAT lol. Your girls are way charismatic and full of life. They’ll kick kindergarten’s a** before you know it.

Always atypical, we had been “warned” about the falling asleep in their dinner plates, the crank factor, etc., and while they definitely were cranky, they were NOT at all “whipped” like we were kind of counting on! As a matter of fact, they both seemed to have that “opposite” reaction that some kids get from meds…you know, the odd birds that get amped up from Benadryl.

All will hit their rhythm soon…keep taking pictures, and sharing ‘em!

That is the one thing they never tell you at Kindy parent orientation. It is going to kick their asses and then your for at least the first month. Don’t be surprised. We did super early bedtimes for the first few months of all day kindy. It will get better just in time for that first break. LOL
