It’s my Blogiversary!

Thaaaat’s right. LaLaGirl – formerly known as LaLaBlog – was introduced to the internets on April 24, 2000. I’m a back-in-the-day blogger! You young whippersnappers don’t know how good you have it! In the early days of Blogger, there were no comments! I remember when Haloscan came out, and we all completely lost our minds over the idea of our blogs being interactive!

I’ve written at lalablog.com, blue-girl.com, biyatch.com, and eventually, paulnlaura.com – but my blog has always been LaLaGirl! And along the way, I’ve gotten divorced, remarried, and had four more kids. Although not in that order.

Wow, only two more years until the big TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Should I have a giant IRL at my house? Y’all can come visit me and have some cake? Let’s make plans for it.

    Happy Blogiversary!! Hard to believe you’ve been blogging that long. I guess that means I’m not too far behind you, although I took way more breaks than you ever did. I have no idea when my first day of blogging was, either!

    congrats! I knew we were pretty close to starting at similar times – my 8 years on 4-11 :) I lost track of you for a while in the middle there and then refound you after the 2nd set of twins, I think. I’m glad I did, I have quite fun reading your blog still! :)

    Your mention of no comments makes me smile – I have a bunch of old posts on my blogs that were essentially “comments” but on my own blog as reactions. It seems so silly now, it’s much happier that we have comments and so many other cool things now days!
