Toy hoarders.
I’ve spent nearly the entire day today doing a massive toy purge in this house. It’s EMBARRASSING to see just how many toys my children have. And it’s not like I buy toys every time we run out to Target or anything! It’s just that I can’t seem to drive my van past a garage sale without stopping. And I can’t say no when someone wants to give me a big box of toys that THEY just cleaned out of their playroom. And the twin club sale – holy hell, don’t even get me started. I’m all about the bargains! It’s a sickness, I think.
I’m sick of living in chaos, though, and I hate that my living room looks like a daycare center. We live in a nearly 5,000 square foot house – there’s no reason at all that the bulk of this shit can’t live in the attic playroom and the basement. I’ve filled several large bags with giveaway stuff I’m going to drop off at the Goodwill on my way to pick up Kayley. (Shhhh, don’t you DARE tell my husband.) I’ve got a big box of nicer toys for the next twin club sale. I’ve got a couple of bags of trash, too.
And if another Jenga set or Cootie game makes it’s way into this house, I swear I’m gonna stab somebody.

JENGA! lol
I just went through my closets and brought all my winter stuff downstairs for storage and brought my spring stuff upstairs for use. Yay!
It’s wild that we don’t have kids’ toy boxes to go through or worry about any more. They seemed to invade our lives, completely taking over house and home, and almost as soon as they came – they were gone.
