Bye, Bye Babyhood
I’ve been parenting four babies for a few years now! And they’re not babies anymore. This realization is suddenly staring me right in the face! First was the realization that they were too heavy for me to push in the quad stroller, and besides, they wanted to walk anyway. And then they all became potty trained within a couple of months of each other, so we said goodbye to the diapers. Then, Pablo and Mallory got big kid beds, so we said goodbye to a pair of cribs. A few weeks after that, they started drinking water out of regular glasses at the table instead of sippy cups. And today, Nikki and Lexi are moving into big girl beds too. I was ready to put that milestone off until summer, but decided to bite the bullet and just do it so we can sell their cribs at the twin club sale this weekend.
No more diapers, sippy cups, stroller, cribs…it’s all got me a little verklempt!

I so know what you mean. I just got rid of dillon’s side rail on his twin bed. He’s been potty trained for a while (even at night, yay!) but the bedrail was hard for me! We do have a tiny secret of babyhood leftover that he just won’t let go of. I’m ashamed to admit it though, lol.
