All done!
And so ends my very first NaBloPoMo! (That would be National Blog Posting Month, for the uninitiated!) I can’t believe I posted every single day this month. I mean, I can believe it – I never shut up, right? But I rarely ever post on the weekends! Not this month, though! I posted every day. Go, me.
Even today! While I was busy, busy, busy, I stopped to post. I’m SO glad I got the playroom cleaned up!! I’ve been in toy hell today. I put the kids down for a nap and I completely emptied out the playroom – EMPTY – and did some major vacuuming. It hasn’t been thoroughly vacuumed in probably a year. I vacuum every week, but I never move the kitchen out and the huge toy bin and all that stuff, y’know? So, I moved everything out. And then, I sat in my living room FULL of toys – and it’s a damned big room – and filled two trash bags with broken toys, flattened toy food boxes, ripped books, and Happy Meal toys galore. Then I sorted everything out and completely rearranged their stuff and go the huge bin out of there – and it was full to the top of toys they’ve outgrown and stuffed animals. GOD, I fucking hate stuffed animals! What are you supposed to DO with them? Why do people even buy them? My kids play with them for five seconds, and I spend the next five years kicking them across the room. Hate!
The playroom looks so good, though – the kids flipped OUT when they came downstairs. Mallory’s so cute, she said, “I KNEW you could do it, mom! I just knew you could!” haha!! Now I just need to do THAT EXACT SAME THING in two bedrooms and the attic. It’s amazing how five kids’ worth of stuff just takes up all the free space in the house!
Oh, and I put up my ceramic Christmas tree and some lights around the entertainment center, so the kids were all ooohing and ahhhing over that, too. I’m about ready to kick back and relax, finally, as I just put the kiddies down for bed. But I just remembered – I have to update the twin club website. D’oh! Relaxing will have to wait an hour. Just in time for bed!

Yep. Me too. They are not allowed here. (I even give away ones given as gifts, I’m that bad!)

Ew and: they’re also host to all manner of dust and crap. Blech. They’re nasty.

““I KNEW you could do it, mom! I just knew you could!””
Okay, that is the most adorable phrase uttered by any blog child all week.

I’m glad to know that someone else out there hates stuffed animals. I swear this year if she gets any for Christmas I’m giving them right back to the person that gave them to her.
Nothing like a useless gift…sheesh!
Congrats on the clean room.

We’re still overrun my stuffed animals here too. I feel such guilt getting rid of them too…because they’re SO cute!
Good job on your blogging this month…and the major clean-up!

LOL – I hear they’re pretty much pointless. I think my kids use them to throw them at eachother.
