Stapleton Central Park

Here’s a picture I took today of the kids playing at the park. They had a blast! You can see Pablo and Nikki spinning here – Lexi and Mallory are outside the view of this picture, but they’re right nearby. We had a nice picnic lunch, too – there’s a lot of seating, and a lot of shade, too. It’ll be nice when the weather’s hot, I’ll bet. I also noticed that there was a multi-level drinking fountain (although it was dry for the winter) with a ground level drink spout for doggies. Awww! There was SO MUCH fun stuff at this park! The kids really loved running up and down the anthills and spinning around on those…spinny things. Pretty views, too. We’ll definitely go back.

What a great park! I’ll have to come visit with Vincent!

That park looks like nothing I’ve ever seen before! So cool!

I cannot figure out what those circle things are? Tires? Big ones? What am I not seeing?

It’s sort of like a merry-go-round, Denise – the kids can straddle it and push off at the lower part with their feet and spin around with their feet off the ground at the higher part. It’s pretty nifty! There’s one at Pablo’s school, too, so I know from experience that they can get like 15 kids sitting on that thing!

What a cool park. I’ve never seen anything like it around here.

That merry-go-round thing, one other way to play on it, is by standing on top of it and slowly walking on it until it moves on its own. It’s a test of balance but just stay close…
    Where is this park again?

Oh!!! I never would have thought to try it that way! What an excellent idea, though – that would be SO GOOD for Pablo! I’m going to try that next time.

The park is in Stapleton – if you go south on Quebec from I-70, take a left on Martin Luther King (east) and follow that maybe a quarter mile or so. The park is on the left just past Central Park Drive.

Wow, that looks like fun. Well if we keep having warm weather and you head back there. Let me know and I will meet you there with the kids. They would love it!
