Go, Walker!
Paul and I have fallen into this strange habit lately of watching Walker, Texas Ranger as we lie in bed each night. It is the funniest, cheesiest show I’ve ever seen, man – I can’t believe it was ever on in prime time! I guess it’s one of those shows that older people really love, like Matlock and Murder, She Wrote. Every time we hear tires squealing in chase scenes that take place on back country dirt roads, it cracks me up. Every time someone gets punched and it makes that “Fwack!” sound, and they spin completely around and fall down – I love it! The cliches, the overacting, the sound effects, the background music – I love it all. We laugh and laugh.
Paul was home sick yesterday and hasn’t been feeling well for a few days. I’ve been worried about him. When we were lying in bed last night, during a commercial break, he said, “Honey, I’m worried…” Immediately, I was like, “Honey! What’s wrong? Are you still not feeling well?” and he goes, “I’m afraid Walker might not be able to get out of this one…” Ha! He cracks me up. For the record, Walker got out of it – he pushed a guy into quicksand and blew up a meth lab and befriended a young boy. All in a day’s work!

That’s hilarious – my favorite thing on Conan would be when he’d pull a lever and they’d show a clip from that show. Also, Logan’s middle name is Walker, as is Jeff’s, so they get shit about that too. lol.

OMG, that is hilarious! My Mother is in LOVE with Walker! They watch it EVERY night – religiosly! (It’s on Hallmark channel at 8pm)…and she has DVD’s of it, a book about him…she even has some magazine pic of him taped to her fridge! My Mom’s husband says “better turn the TV on, your Boyfriend is almost on!”..
