It seems like it was JUST July 1st about five minutes ago. Now it’s August already? The hell? My kids are starting school in nineteen days!!
Paul has been working his little tail off down in the basement, setting up the PERFECT lightshow and getting his speakers JUST RIGHT and putting up decorations and rearranging furniture and stuff for the party. It’s going to be so cool. I can’t wait for Kayley to see the basement – she’s going to flip out!
That reminds me – I need to email her dad and see if I can get him to handle the birthday cake. Kayley wanted to make her own, but I just don’t see how we’ll have time to do that. I’m sure he can get her a really cool cake and bring it to the party. I’d better go email him now before I forget again!

Sounds like an awesome party! Our girls had “cupcake cakes” this year – where they put all the cupcakes together in a shape, and then frost the whole thing – for some reason the girls thought that was really cool.
