Happy Independence Day!
(I was going to say Happy 4th of July, but I know how much it bugs LaDonna. Hee!)
Actually, I was going to post, “So, tomorrow’s the 4th…” but then I realized it’s midnight, so TODAY is the 4th. Woo! Did I mention that we’re going to attempt to take in a fireworks display with the children? It’ll be their first. I’ve always been so worried that it would completely freak out Pablo, but I think he’s gotten to a point where he’ll probably really like it. I’m actually excited about it!
And then, Paul is back to work on Thursday. He took a couple of days of leave this week, so he’s been home with us since last Friday! And we’ve actually been having a pretty nice time together. He’s gotten a few things done, and we’ve had a little bit of time to hang out together too. While the kids napped today, we sat out on the patio in the wind and drank Coronas. Hehe! It’s the little things. We also set up the baby pool today and let the kids splash around in that for awhile. That was pretty fun! Yay for summer! We really are trying to enjoy all the summer-ness of summertime before it becomes fall, which should happen in approximately five minutes, based on how quickly the rest of the year has passed us by.
Okay, I’m about to fall over right out of my chair, so I’m going to head off to bed. Nighty night!

I’ll be curious to hear how Pablo did with it. A neighbor just set off some firecrackers and my one dog got a ridge on her back like a mohawk..she did NOT like it at all!

What’s funny is I almost titled MY post “Happy 4th of July!” and then I remembered LaDonna’s post from last year, and changed it! She’s right, after all! Maybe tomorrow I’ll post my entry as “Happy 5th of July!” LOL
I hope the kids enjoy the fireworks tonight!
