Happy July 1st!
I can’t believe it’s already July. The kids go back to school in a month and a half! Summer is just zooming by!
Mallory is going to need uniforms for school, and I’m actually completely stoked about getting them. I saw a little girl at Sam’s Club a few weeks ago in a darling navy blue skort and white knee socks. The skort was pleated and had a built-in belt. SO cute! I had to ask her mom where she bought it, and she told me to check out the French Toast website. I did, and was surprised by the cute uniforms there, which are pretty cheap, too!
I was at K’s dad’s house for a few minutes last night, giving him some of Courtney’s awesome pictures of Kayley. It was nice to see my girl for a few minutes. She’s so tan!! She’s been at daycamp all week, swimming every day. And I chatted with Troy and his girlfriend and had a glass of wine with them. His girlfriend is so sweet! I’m so happy that he found someone he really seems happy with! They make a darling couple too, so much cuter together than we ever were!! I’ll bet he LOVES being taller. LOL!
Paul informed me today that we have, like, 2 rolls of toilet paper in our house. This is an emergency!! We’ll go through that by this evening, with all these kids potty training! It’s such a dilemma – do I risk running out of TP, or take my kids to Sam’s Club on a Sunday, in 95 degree weather? Ugh!
Hey, I figured out why my Top Commenter plugin is being wonky. It doesn’t work with widget-ready templates, like this one. Widgets! What rock have I been hiding under? I haven’t played with widgets at all until a couple of nights ago. How did I not realize that they’re the greatest thing to come out since yogurt in a tube? I haven’t figured out how to make my little squiggly green things after the sidebar titles show up with the widgets, so that’s why I haven’t actually FIXED it here yet. But I will. I’ve just been busy playing The Sims. I just bought the pets expansion pack, thinking mostly of Kayley. She is so obsessed with playing The Sims 1 now, but I’m sure as soon as she realizes how cool version 2 is, she’ll be begging me to install it on her machine.
Well, I hope you’re having a splendid Sunday. I’m outtie. Off to enjoy sitting in the AC!

And shit! I wrote that comment before I, you know, actually read your whole post. Dork!
Anyway, I think it’s so funny that Kayley loves The Sims so much. So does Shan (and OK, who am I kidding…I do too, lol). I actually prefer Sims 1 to Sims 2, because it’s easier to use, and Sims 2 freaked my computer out.
One time Shan came to me because her Sim dude was “all mad, and she couldn’t figure out why.” So I went, and like…all of his bars were on RED, and he was just pissed. Turns out, she’d been making some adjustments to her house, and had removed the door from the room he was in! He was a prisoner, and he’d been in there peeing, sleeping on the floor, no food, no shower…for DAYS. It was priceless. Anyway…just wanted to share, lol.
