Great day for sale-ing!

The kids and I went garage sale-ing today, on a whim. Man, it was HOT outside! The kids stayed in the air conditioned comfort of the van the whole time. Every time I pulled up to a sale, I parked and opened the side door so they could watch me and shout suggestions, such as, “I want that baby, mama!” I spent sixteen dollars at various sales and came home with the following:

  • 4 Franklin books, and 1 Caillou book
  • The very same book of nursery rhymes that Mallory and I read repeatedly at the Urgent Care clinic last week
  • Dora Maryjane-style espadrilles for Mallory
  • Cute white sandals for Nikki
  • Cute Blue Maryjane-style Keds for Lexi
  • A baby dressed like a pig, who does the “This little piggy went to market” thing when you squeeze her toe
  • A matching pair of teddy bears with magnetic noses that stick together like they’re smooching
  • A ball with an airplane inside of it
  • A bench with colored pegs to bang in and out with a hammer
  • A BIG bag of My Little Ponies – 13, we just counted
  • A doll stroller
  • A big book of preschool worksheets
  • 8 old school VHS tapes of Sesame Street from the early 80s
  • Two small-ish baby dolls
  • One pretty good sized baby doll

Pretty good haul, I thought! Of course, I used almost a quarter of a tank of gas, so it may be a wash!

I am so jealous of the my Little Ponies! He he. Are they the new ones or the old ones?

We have the baby that is dressed as a piggie too. Little Bear thinks it is so funny!
