My kids have been so good today, aside from the usual bickering that occurs when you have so many kids under one roof.
They’ve been cracking me UP, too. We had lunch outside, and the kids were munching on PB&Js, along with a few Cheetos and potato chips. This is heaven for them, because I very rarely buy chips, but we had some left after our little party on Saturday, so I’ve been using them here and there to bribe the children.
While everyone was still seated at the little tiny picnic table, Pablo dropped a Cheeto - a BIG one - and it rolled a few feet away from the table. He glanced at it, and then back at the girls, who were peering around him and checking out the Cheeto on the ground. He glanced at his plate, and then quickly picked up the four Cheetos left on his plate and kept them in his hand while he got up to retrieve the wandering Cheeto. It’s survival of the fittest around here, and if you turn your back on your Cheetos, you might as well kiss them goodbye. Funny how quickly they learn that!
Then, just a few minutes later, everyone was pretty much done with lunch and playing in the yard. Nikki came up and saw that Lexi still had chips on her plate, which was still sitting on the table. She looked at me and said, “I want eat Lexi’s chips!” and I said, “Nooooo, you already ate Nikki’s chips. Lexi’s going to eat her own chips.” So Nikki selected the biggest chip on the plate, picked it up, and licked it from top to bottom, and then put it back on the plate! And she said, “I not eat Lexi’s chips, mama!” Soooo funny!
