Why am I here?

Not like, on earth or in the universe; I’m not trying to get all deep or anything like that. WHY am I sitting here in front of my computer? I have so much to do!! Every day I make grand plans to get a whole bunch of stuff done while the kids are napping, and then as soon as I put them down, I’m like, “Freedom!” and the first thing I want to do is relax and sit here. And then before I know it, an hour has passed. Why can’t I just … NOT do that? Just bypass the whole “sitting down at the computer” thing?

You should see what I did yesterday. You should SEE it! I almost photographed the sticky note that my to-do list was on, because EVERYTHING WAS CROSSED OFF! I had the most productive naptime EVER!! I’ll reenact it for you now. Pretend this is a sticky note, in my handwriting:


Change sheets
Clean kitchen
Clean out fridge
Sweep
Vacuum downstairs
Clean up all toys
Work out
Fold Laundry

D’oh! I knew there was something I didn’t finish. I have to fold a ton of laundry. THAT’S where I should be right now, sitting on the floor in the laundry room, enveloped in the fresh scent of purple Downy and Oxyclean spray.

Here’s what the deal is, though. My MIL was gone for four days. She’s back today. And I had to go all the way across town, pick her up, drive to two different errands MILES apart from each other, wait in the van with the kids while she took care of her business, and haul ass back to this side of town to pick up the boy from preschool. So, the combination of my MIL being here and already driving all over hell and back has made me not want to do ANYTHING! That woman always makes me lazy. I think it’s because she likes to watch TV all day.

So you know what I should REALLY be doing right now? To hell with the LAUNDRY, people. I should be scouting out a place for her to live!! I think I’m going to go peruse Craigslist for awhile. See you in a few.

    LAURA !! I THOUGHT SHE WAS GONE! What the hell is she doing BACK there? I thought that was handled over a month ago. ?? She’s BACK ??

    I have my sister in law with us for 2 weeks, my wife let her stay here while testing medications for high blood pressure. Her blood pressure was 190 by 250 never heard of such a high one.
    Stayed in hospital for 4 days.

    She stays up watching scary movies all night, and sleeps all day. 1 more week to go
