I think I’ve got a case of the Mondays!
Actually, I’m feeling pretty okay. But my day has not been without challenges! Pablo was being SO naughty this morning. He is never like this! He refused to sit at the table and eat breakfast. I had to take him to school on a completely empty stomach! Mallory stayed with Pablo at school so she could get her weekly speech therapy, and the girls and I went over to Starbucks. That was actually pleasant. The little girls walked together holding hands, and everyone went “Awwww, look at those cute widdle twins!” I got my tall, nonfat, sugar-free vanilla latte, paid for it with my $10 Starbucks gift card I won at the last twin club meeting (I won an 80s pop culture trivia contest!) and the girls shared a cheese danish. We finished up our little morning snack and headed back to the school to pick up Mallory. Once I had all the girls with me again, we headed down to Babies R Us to buy a new potty seat. The one we have is such a piece of shit; I can’t even tell you. I’m going to throw it in the garbage. Anyway. So we get to Babies R Us, and as we pull into a parking spot, Nikki vomits all over herself. Second time in a week!! Clearly, she gets carsick on E-470. What am I going to do about this? And it was so nasty, bananas and chewed up danish and curdled milk, and BLECH, I almost yacked myself. And I am usually above that! So I got her prrrrretty cleaned up – enough that we could run in and buy a potty seat, anyway. So I get all the girls out and we begin making our way across the parking lot. Mallory slipped on gravel and skinned up her hand. Dammit! So I get her up and we start walking again. She slips AGAIN on gravel and pulls down both little girls with her, so they are ALL covered in black, wet grime from the melted snow and filth. GOD, I was pissed. We walked into BRU and I immediately bitched out the girl at the customer service desk, suggesting that now that the 3 feet of snow they had is completely melted, they might want to sweep up all the gravel that completely covers their parking lot. I mean, it’s on a hill – even I was losing my footing a little here and there! Fer fuck’s sake. That’s a total safety issue. She felt bad. Then I felt bad for being bitchy. But not that bad, really.
Okay, we ended up getting our potty seat (two, actually – we’re going to have a matched pair in the bathroom, now that we have four kids training!) and headed back home. I left us enough time to head home and change clothes before we picked up the boy, since all three girls were filthy now and we still needed to grocery shop. So we got home and I quickly got changes of clothes for all three, and changed them right there in the car, and used half a thing of Clorox wipes cleaning Nikki’s seat even more. (I used almost a whole thing of baby wipes in the parking lot of Babies R Us!) Then we headed over to Pablo’s school.
Pablo was in a better mood, thank goodness, so we all headed over to Target. Thankfully, nobody barfed the rest of the day. The kids were *fairly* good inside Target, and we made it back home in one piece. The kids got popcorn at Target, though, and it’s all over the living room now. So I’m about to pick all of that up. But hey – it’s not barf!

Oh, Laura. Hope Little One’s all over her yuckiness from this morning. It MUST be carsickness. Poor baby! Other than that, your post today is so hilarious. I think you could write and get paid for it. Seriously. I hear ya about the water, too. I just can’t get it down lately. And so mad at myself about it. Glad all’s better and handsome little guy got to feelin’ more cooperative. Probably just woke up on the wrong side.

Yuck. Breanna got car sick alot too. Luckily she grew out of it.
It was a shitty day all around yesterday. I started my morning off well. As I was leaving for work, I was taking the trash to the curb. Keep in mind I was wearing my Crocs with the holes in the top. Well….the trash leaked on my foot and I got creamy white “trash juice” all in my shoe and on my sock! I was trying to get back in the house to change and clean my foot but I was gagging so hard that my eyes were all teared up so I couldn’t get my key in the farkin’ hole! I’m sure it was entertaining to watch but it sucked all kinds of ass!! I later emailed my husband and told him that if he EVER bought cheap trash bags again I would shoot him.

What a day you had momma! I am sorry you had to deal with so much yuckie. THose days are never fun.
Athena used to get car sick a lot. We changed her carseat postiion and that seemed to help. It was tiletd back a little and we moved it down. She hasn’t done it in a while, but the doctor did tell us something about car sick remidies, but I sure can’t remember.
I hopeyou Monday got better and you have a great Tuesday! Get yourself some hot chocolate or tea and settle in with you cute widdle twins.

Having five kids myself, I can really appreciate those kind of days, but I have to tell you, I really do think I’d lose my mind if I had four under four. I’ve always admired you, whenever you seem to have a few down days, you just pick yourself right back up and proceed with a positive attitude. I really think I’d be a blubbering fool every night!
Sometimes when I get in to work (late of course, but then again I haven’t been on time in over 3 years LOL), my shoe laces are usually untied and someone will point it out to me and I always say “look, I’m just happy I managed to put clothes on this morning”. Heh. You have to have mornings like that where you’re just happy to not have forgotten a kid at home or something ‘cuz I know I do! LOL
