LaLaGirl – Twinfinite Chaos! Parenting Multiples and Dealing with Autism

I missed it last week to go to coffee with Erin and Christy (which was TOTALLY worth it, by the way!!) and tonight, I’m going to a potty training workshop for special needs kids. Does that sound like too much fun or what?? I kind of forgot about it until right now. So I need to actually take a shower and stuff. I was planning to be lazy all day, since it’s yucky outside again!

This weather. Ugh! We had a couple of gorgeous days. Quite a bit of our snow melted. We still have a TON, don’t get me wrong. I got stuck in our street twice today, because I couldn’t get up out of the ruts from everyone’s wheels. Sucks! Yesterday was sooooo nice. It was my first day On My Own with the children, so we dropped off Pabo and went shopping at Wal-Mart. The girls were SO good. Nikki and Lexi were pretty excited, too – they haven’t been inside a store in months!! It was beautiful outside and none of us even wore coats.

Today, so much fog you can’t see to the end of the street, and it’s 28 degrees and there’s frost everywhere. Yuck. Still, I went out and got my van washed. It looks sooooooo much better! It was SO filthy. Filthier than it’s ever been! I couldn’t even read the license plate; the whole back of my van was brown. Now it’s all shiny clean and that makes me happy. (Too bad the inside is still a pit.)

And yesterday I also did some stuff around the house. I did a bunch of laundry, cleaned a bathroom, extra-extra cleaned the kitchen, and went through all the toys and put stuff away that’s been out for a month. That took me over an hour, just putting pieces back into puzzles and tracking down pegs for the pegboard and stringing beads and letter magnets and Little People. I swear, that shit multiplies at night while we’re sleeping! But it’s looking much better now.

I had mighty plans for today, which included cleaning out the fridge and pantry and doing more laundry and tagging a bunch of stuff for the twin club sale. Yet, I’ve done NOTHING. Well, not true – I finished and put away Paul’s laundry, ran the dishwasher, and, uh…got my van washed. I’m so tired, for some reason. I’m sleeping well, too. Not sure why I’m so run down.

So, that’s today’s crazy interesting update. Ha! I hope I haven’t bored you to tears.
