Oh, the pressure!!

Hehe – I was just remembering some dorky movie I saw as a kid – I can’t remember much about it, except there were all these kids and they lived somewhere where the sun was only out for one day of the year, and so that one day they did all this fun crazy stuff outside, but one girl got locked inside by accident and it was so sad because she missed out on the one day. Hehe! Ahhh, the 70s. Spawned some crazy shit on our TVs, man. Especially since there really wasn’t cable TV or VCRs yet – or even TVs with remote controls!

ANYWAY. I got off on a little tangent there. What I meant to say was, it’s supposed to be another nice day here. We’ve had warmer temps all week, and it’s melting the metric fuckton of snow we have on the ground, little by little. Tomorrow, though, it’s gonna snow again! It’s snowed every weekend for 6 straight weeks! Enough already, Mother Nature! Knock it off! So when Paul left for work this morning, he was all, “You’d better get those kids outside and go somewhere today, because we’re going to be stuck at home all weekend!”

So what should we do? I’m kind of thinking Children’s Museum. I wonder if everyone else in Denver is having that same idea?

I read that story. I think the sun came out one day every few years. This was on a different planet. And the kids at school had never seen the sun because they had been born on that planet. But the little girl had seen it, since she had been born on earth. So the kids made fun of her and locked her in the closet. And then the sun came out and they forgot about her.

    Kinda sad story.
