You gotta have friends. . .

Kayley went to a sleepover last night just three houses away – and she’s currently off at some arcade type place with the birthday girls and the other party guests. It just makes me SO happy that Kayley fiiiiiiinally has some friends in our neighborhood!! We’ve been here over three years! It’s so hard for her to make friends, since she doesn’t go to school up here and she’s only here half the time. These are really nice girls, though, and it pleases me to no end that she has someone nearby she can just hang out with on a moment’s notice. It’s about time!

That’s wonderful, Laura. I know how tickled you must be; I would be too if she were mine. These pictures of my two little girlfriends clowning at the table, pulling her shirt over her head (how’d she DO that?!) are so adorable. They have a good time, don’t they. They always look so content and happy in pictures. And your hair looks really good. Really. You do a good job.

    I know the feeling.

We moved to a new neighbourhod 5 years ago and our daughter didn’t have any friends nearby so we were always having to set up play dates and drive her over on weekends. Of course there were many days when she just didn’t have anybody to play with because play dates aren’t always easy to arrange (as I’m sure you know).

Last sumer however she made some friends in the area and it’s been so great as she can now play outside any time she wants or even have friends over at a moment’s notice because they’re just a few doors away.
