An AWWWW Moment.

Pablo is doing so great at preschool. He LOVES going, too. He loves his teacher and he has lots of friends. When I went to pick him up yesterday, he didn’t see me come in because he was in the middle of putting away a game. It had a bazillion tiny little rubber cars and about five cards with little roads for the cars to drive on. He meticulously scooped up the cars, one handful at a time, and placed them in the box. Then he neatly stacked up the cards and placed them in the box too. Then he carefully put the box back on the game shelf where it was supposed to go. And THEN, he turned around and grinned at his teacher – so proud of himself!! And I have to say, I am actually pretty relieved that Mallory didn’t end up qualifying to go to preschool with him. He does so well being AWAY from her once in awhile! She went into the classroom yesterday and threw a fit because she didn’t want to leave; she wanted to stay and play. And then Pablo immediately started throwing a fit too, which he NEVER does at school. They sometimes bring out the worst in each other! So, yeah. That’s all. Oh! Actually, that’s not all: I almost forgot to mention why I started this post in the first place! Pablo colored the cutest picture yesterday of a traffic signal. Paul’s going to hang it on his wall at work. It’s so cute because of what Paul does; he’s a traffic engineer. So sweet. Okay, THAT’S all.

I so glad he is doing well. :) I do think it is important for them to have identities other than being “the twins” KWIM?

He sounds like he is really excelling there! I’m so glad for you guys. My cousin’s son has always been a little off and everyone (their immediate family) was in complete denial. They have JUST BARELY started looking in to the possibility that he may be slightly autistic… HE’S 12!! I am so glad you guys researched and got Pablo help, Laura. This particular family member is well-to-do and religious and under the impression that made them immune from autism. I do not wish it on anybody, but as a mom who could afford anything (AND she’s a teacher!) why would you wait till 12? It really breaks my heart! Thanks for sharing and being a great example!
