It’s freakin’ 48 degrees outside with crrrrrazy wind. I ran out to Wal-Mart earlier for diapers and just about blew away!! Summer sure ended quickly here. We’ve had weeks of rain and chilly temperatures - right after labor day weekend! It’s like, as soon as August ended, summertime temps ended too. Booooo.

Not that I’m not looking forward to fall. A short list of things I love about fall:

Not worrying about showing off my ugly feet in flip flops anymore
Roasted green chiles
New TV shows
Halloween costumes, candy, and parties
No more insanely hot weather
Pretty leaves
Fall smells in the air, like burning wood

But then, we also have to deal with:

Shorter days
Coldass weather
Dry skin
Chapped lips
No more watermelon and canteloupe
Bare trees

It’s all good, though. I’m optimistic about this winter season coming up, for once! I think it’s going to be spec-tacular.
