I just picked up Pablo from school - he just finished another great week! (Yeah, I know it’s only Tuesday, but we’re starting him out with two days a week!) He even had his backpack on - a first for him - and was ready to go, with no crying and no wanting to stay on the playground. Yay!
The speech therapist cornered me, though, and said she’d love to have me start bringing Mallory in for speech therapy, but she hasn’t received her IEP yet. Fer fuck’s sake, man! The kids turned three in August. They were signed up for school at the end of July. It’s now the middle of September, and someone can’t take five fucking minutes out of their day to fax it over? I am just floored by this. The speech therapist said she emailed our case manager a week ago asking her to just fax it, since it hadn’t come in the mail yet, and she hasn’t seen a thing yet. I just left a very bitchy voice mail for said case manager. Don’t talk to me about how busy you are. I know busy, people - hello? Four kids in diapers up in here. It’s no excuse for not being able to do your goddamned JOB.
So, hopefully she’ll send it on TODAY and I can get Mallory in speech therapy next week when Pablo goes back to school. Ugh!

That’s inexcusable. (Why does that look incorrect?) Catherine started speech in her 2nd week of school, we got the IEP meeting notice right away. Grace? STILL WAITING!

OH man. I know your pain.
I asked for an IEP for my eldest (ADD, daydreaming type) and before I can get a meeting with the teachers/counselors/parents etc. I need her info sent over… “Sure, we’ll mail out the release you can send it over and we’ll….” oh but see, she forget halfway through the conversation with me on the phone to actually SEND it. ARGH.
