Poor sissie.
I just talked to my sister Kim last night – I so miss her! I wish the planets would align accordingly to allow her to get her ass out to Colorado for a visit! I haven’t seen her in four years and four months. Boooo hoooo hoooo. She called while I was out flippin’ steaks in the rain! Oh, and funny aside: Mike came over for dinner last night and turned on the grill for me. He forgot to remove the long-handled plastic wire brush I use to clean the grill, and when I put the steaks on, the brush was all stretchy, like taffy. Hehe!! I was trying to pick it up chopsticks-style with the spatula and the barbecue fork, so as not to burn the crap out of my widdle fingers, when Paul brought me the phone. Then I had the giggles and I guess it was contagious, because Kim got ‘em too!
Anyway. My sister’s having her gallbladder out a week from today. She’s having all sorts of issues with it and she’s in a lot of pain, so I’m glad she’s getting it done right now. I reminded her of how our dad had his out about 3 years ago when he had all that crazy abdominal surgery that kept him in the hospital for six weeks, and how nowadays, he has no dietary restrictions and can eat anything he wants. I know she’s looking forward to feeling better again!
So, I’m posting this partially as a reminder to myself – think of Kimber next week, and if you’re one of those prayin’ type of people, pray for her to have a safe surgery and a super fast recovery!!

I just saw on her myspace she’s in Buffalo. OMG! That sucks worse than living here in OKC. Your poor sister!
I hope her surgery goes well. Mom’s recovery from her GB surgery wasn’t too bad. I hope Kim’s goes as smoothly.

I do hope for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!
She will feel a lot better once she heals. I had gallbladder problems for years (before I found out that’s what it was!) and seriously, I DO feel better now that it’s out!
Good luck to her!!
