It’s Aloha Friday!
When you go grocery shopping, do you make a list? Are you kidding me? I make lists of everything in the world. It makes me feel like I have some small amount of control over my life! Yes, I make a shopping list. I make headings on a big sheet of notebook paper for pantry, frozen, produce, meats, dairy and other, so I’m not running back and forth all over the store.
Note: after I typed this entry and hit “save”, it occurred to me that I still had today’s shopping list in my purse. And here it is!

And since I was doing something as weird as taking a picture of my shopping list on the kitchen counter, I thought I’d take the lunacy one step further and show you that I did, indeed, stick to the list - pretty well. I also ended up buying milk, bananas, some plastic silverware for the kids, and the Madagascar movie 2-pack that was only $19.97. Here is a picture of all that, plus everything on the list:

Also, it seemed imperative that I point out that my potatoes are Officially Licensed by Nascar.

Have you Googled old friends? Yes - I do all the time. I’m a little stalker-ish like that. Like I mentioned earlier in the week too, since I found the site where you can look up marriages and divorces, I’ve been looking up people like crazy! Ha!
Play the Boo-Yay game. Tell us about a “boo” and a “yay” from the past week.
Boo: Hardly anyone showed up for my Discovery Toys party. Hmph. I still got a few orders, but probably not even enough for a substantial discount for ME, which is the only reason I had the stupid party.
Yay: Paul brought me home a new Christmas music CD yesterday - I LOVE Christmas music! He stole it from his boss. Haha! He said he saw it in his boss’s desk and was like, “Why the hell do you have that Nat King Cole Christmas CD sitting in your desk? You need to just give it to me to take home to Laura. She loves that shit.” Yes. Yes, I do.
Laura, also known as LaLaGirl, is the mother of a teenager and two young sets of twins. She's happily married to an enginerd named Paul, loves living in Colorado, and writes almost daily about married life, raising multiples, and parenting a child with autism. In addition to playing Barbies and pretending to eat plastic food all day, Laura spends most of her time folding clean laundry, obsessing about the amount of sugar her kids eat, and vacuuming up Polly Pocket accessories. She's obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba, red wine, and Family Guy. She also regularly contributes to How Do You Do It? and authors the following blogs:

What I want to know is, how long will that food hold you over?
BTW, I’m totally jealous of your countertops!

Fionna, we actually made our weekly shopping trip on Monday - LOL! This was just food for Thanksgiving. I was bored at home and needed to get the kids out of the house for awhile, so we did our Thanksgiving shopping.

OMG look how organized you are. I guess you have to be, huh? I could take a lesson from you…I’ve turned into kind of a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants gal…and sometimes it doesn’t work out so well, lol!

Yeah, I write lists so I don’t forget things. Then I go and forget the lists on my desk. Nice, huh?
Someone’s makin’ a punkin pie!

I never make lists unless I’m giving them to Rob so he can go to the store. I can’t believe you put all your groceries on the counter like that and took a picture. Are you sure you have two sets of twins??? LOL

No, see, I still hadn’t unpacked them to put them away when I was typing my
post, and so I just stacked them up like that when I took them out of the
bags. Hahahahaha! I put the kids straight to bed from the van (four trips up
and down the damned stairs!) and then brought all the groceries in, and then
I wanted to take a little rest before I put them away, so I blogged.

I am a total list maker! You are funny with your pictures. Enjoy that new cd. I love Christmas music! Hard to get into the holiday mood here otherwise with our 85 degree weather!
